Heart attacks
What is a heart attack:
A heart attack is caused when the flow from the heart is blocked.
What causes a heart attack:
Heart attacks are usually caused by built up fat, cholesterol, and other substances. These things affect the heart as they then create a plaque in the Coronary Arteries which feeds the heart and forms a clot.
How to prevent a heart attack:
~Eating a healthy balanced diet
~Avoid Smoking
~Keep blood pressure at a healthy level
Symptoms of a heart attack:
~ Tightening, Pressure, Pain, Aching sensation in the chest and arms which could spread to your jaw back and neck
~ Abdominal pain, Nausea, Indigestion or Heartburn
~ Shortness of breath
~ Cold sweat
~ Being lightheaded, Sudden dizziness
Treatment:
~ Aspirin as it reduces clotting, thus helping maintain blood flow through the narrowed artery.
